I would like to state that I am happy to take part in the project called Active During Crisis, which was held in Smolyan/Bulgaria between 01.05.2022 – 10.05.2022.
Participating from many nationalities in the first place increased intercultural interaction. The teacher’s command of the subject was good. Although many of them were participants in their first Erasmus+ project, it took a short time to get used to the project. This is an indication of how enthusiastic the participants are about the project. we started the project by getting to know each other first and we played interactive games to increase the bonds between us. Then we gradually learned the subject of the project and started to learn the subjects from general to specific. What is a crisis? What should we do in times of crisis? We started to warm up with issues such as how we can find solutions during crises. In the following sessions, we learned about the problems faced by disadvantaged individuals and disadvantaged communities. We brainstormed on how to overcome these difficulties. Then, the participants from each country talked about the problems in their countries in turn. These topics included refugees, gypsies, minorities, and similar situations. Thanks to this accumulated knowledge, we learned to look at things from a wider perspective. When we returned to our country, we started to convey the awareness of the Erasmus+ project to the young people by transferring this information we learned. Our goal is to enable the young people in our country to participate more actively in volunteering and Erasmus+ projects.
